Welcome to Amber Riddle's Polar Plunge Page
This will be my first official Plunge! Last year, I talked Steven into doing it because we were expecting our second child, but this year I have no excuses. We have a deal - we don’t BOTH have to jump, but whoever raises the most money does. If we each raise more than $500, then we’ve agreed to both jump. That being said, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONATE TO STEVEN :) - here’s the link to his donation page: http://events.soky.org/site/TR/PolarPlunges/General?px=1120782&pg=personal&fr_id=1060
Special Olympics basketball is a family affair for us. We have been coaching together (with our awesome other Coach, Tim Miller!) since before we had our two boys, and now the boys are as much a part of it as we are. This fundraiser is a big deal for us, because while it benefits Special Olympics of Kentucky, we get to “share the proceeds” of what we raise and the Dragons get a percentage of that money directly. This helps us pay tournament fees, league fees, and equipment, and our athletes get to participate FOR FREE! Please consider sponsoring us again this year - we sooo appreciate it. But, seriously, donate to Steven’s page, not mine ;). OR sponsor us both, but give Steven more :):):) Above all, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Call me brave or call me bonkers, but I have committed to plunge into frigid water to show my support for the over 8,900 Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky. Your donation will not only force me into the icy cold water but will also help support Special Olympics Kentucky in their efforts to provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through sports, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem, and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives. Help me create a world in which all people with intellectual disabilities have a chance to be accepted and respected in their communities.
