It's that time of year again!  I'll be doing the polar plunge down at Joe's Crab Shack on 2/2.

Gabe is still enjoying and doing great swimming for the NKY Dolphins as a part of the Special Olympics program.  Since almost all of the plungers in years past are a part of the NKY Dolphins program I thought it most appropriate to rename the team.  Plus, everyone will see how much the coaches, parents, etc come out and plunge for the team!!

As a coach and parent, I can tell you that each year the number of particiapants for the NKY Dolphins swim team continues to grow., thanks in big part to the efforts our our head coach Debbie Odgen (shout out!).  Without her time, efforts and coordination of events, we would be 'just another program', but she has elevated us to the next level. Said another way, all of the athletes who come to practice each week and particiapte in the swim meets, feel ACCEPTED.  And that is all any Special Olympics athletes want - a place to feel accpeted and have fun. Debbie's efforts embody and encourage this environment.
