Welcome!
This will be my fourth year jumping. I originally took part in polar plunge as a one-time thing but as you can see I'm back for my fourth year. The polar plunge is so much more than just raising money and taking and jumping into ice cold water. The polar plunge opens your eyes to what all the money goes towards and how many people truly care about the Special Olympic Athletes. The money raised during this event goes towards the hosting of events and covering athletes costs for over 30,000 athletes in Kentucky & Ohio. I've seen what this money does, volunteering at multiple events and even being a coach has been the most eye-opening & rewarding experience. This summer I had the privilege to be a coach for the golf program. Seeing these athletes make leaps and bounds on the range and course was the most rewarding feeling. Seeing the smiles & grins come across the players face as soon as the ball came off the tee, there's nothing quite like it. These grins don't stop at the players, they spread to all the coaches, all the families, and anyone around. These athletes are truly remarkable people.
