This is my second year as a Special Educatoin teacher at Shelby County High School. During this time I have met some amazing and intelligent students. I have always been around the special olympics scene with my brother who has participated in various sports over the past seven years. One way I can continue to support special olympics and my students is to participate in the polar plunge on February 23rd in Louisville.

I have committed to plunge into frigid water to show my support for the over 8,900 Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky. Your donation will not only force me into the icy cold water but will also help support Special Olympics Kentucky in their efforts to provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.  Through sports, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem, and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives.  Help me create a world in which all people with intellectual disabilities have a chance to be accepted and respected in their communities. 

I would love to have you be a part of my team either by joining in our plunge team, Rowdy Rockets, or making a donation. If you choose to make a donation it will not only go to Special Olympics, but a percentage will go to our class and will be used for things like supplies, activites, field trips, and more!
