Before the boys were part of the Louisville Redbirds they struggled to find something that they could pour themselves into. We cautiously joined knowing that other avenues had not been successful. This is without a doubt one of the best decisions I have ever made for the boys. AJ loves sports. He spends his time looking up athletes and their statistics. He has cried tears at the losses they have had. But more importantly, he proudly wears his medals and beams when he says, “I’m a champion.” Special Olympics has become an integral part of his life.

When he heard about the Polar Plunge, he did not hesitate to join in. He is only one of over 10,000 athletes in Special Olympics Kentucky. Your donation will not only force him into the icy cold water but will also help support Special Olympics Kentucky in their efforts to provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
