Special Olympic has impacted our family more than any other group we have ever encountered.  Traditional sports was something that we tried to participate in but it was not tailored to the needs of atypical children.  I hesitantly attended a small gathering introducing an up and coming special needs softball team.  Little did I know, I would be joining a group of people that has become family for the boys.  AJ has a perseverance and tenacity that is unparalleled.  He is devoted and loyal to his team.  Special Olympics has laid the foundation for something that is shaping him and preparing him for the rest of his life.
