I Started plunging with my then eight-year-old son in 2001. I have plunged every year since that day. Over the last 2 decades I have been able to raise over 31K for this very worthwhile event. I look forward to getting the Chill of a Lifetime every year that I plunge into frigid water to show my support for the over 13,000 Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky. Your support will not only make my plunge into the icy cold water well worth the slight discomfort, but it will also help support Special Olympics Kentucky in their efforts to provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through the activities that your contributions help make possible, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem, and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives. Please help me to continue to create a world in which all people with intellectual disabilities have a chance to be accepted and respected in their communities.
