I have committed to the Louisville Polar plunge to show my support for over 13,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities in Kentucky, one of which is my 11-year-old son who has participated in Special Olympics at the junior athlete level, in track and in bowling.

Through sports, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem, and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives.  Special Olympics athletes are 50% more likely to be employed than people with intellectual disabilities who don't participate in these life-changing programs.
