I am taking the plunge for Evan this year! Many of you know that Evan joined the Shelby County Stars two years ago.  This program has become a second family to us and words cannot express the love and gratitude that our family has for this program and Special Olympics.  Evan currently participates in track, softball, bowling, flag football, and basketball! His sportsmanship and love for his teammates is evident in the constant smile on his face and many hugs and fist bumps. I hope you will support me as I support him.

I have committed to the Louisville Polar plunge to show my support for over 13,000 athletes with intellectual disablities in Kentucky. 

Through sports, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem, and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives.  Special Olympics athletes are 50% more likely to be employed than people with intellectual disabilities who don't participate in these life-changing programs.
