This year I have committed again to the Louisville Polar Plunge to show my support for over 11,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities in Kentucky.  I will not jump into the cold water at the Main Event as in 2023 & 2024 but rather take a virtual Polar Plunge at home.  I'm hopeful that a team of virtual Polar Knights will band together, please Email me at rlescinski@gmail.com if interested.

This event is one that the Knights of Columbus has supported since its inception in Chicago.  The heart of this event is about making someone else's life better which is a living example set by Jesus.  The better we do to help and heal others, the more we are healed.

Through sports, Special Olympics athletes build confidence and self-esteem and develop skills they can take off the field and into their everyday lives.  Special Olympics athletes are 50% more likely to be employed than people with intellectual disabilities who don't participate in these life-changing programs.

This year the Louisville Polar Plunge is on February 22nd at the Main Event off Blankenbaker Rd.  Come on out to watch the brave plungers and admire the cool costumes.
