2001 is when it all began, I started plunging with my then eight-year-old son. I have plunged every year since that day. Over the last 2 decades, I have been able to raise over 35K for this very worthwhile event. I look forward to getting that annual Chill of a Lifetime when I plunge into frigid water to show my support for the over 13,000 Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky. On a different note, this past year saw the passing of a dear friend and longtime supporter of my plunge, Tina Fee. Also the passing of a dear friend's father, Richard Woodworth. I hope that all of you will join me in raising this year's plunge contribution in memory of these longtime supporters of a great cause. Your support will not only make this 23rd plunge into the icy cold water well worth the slight discomfort, but it will also help support Special Olympics Kentucky and the memory of two wonderful individuals. Please help me to continue creating a world in which all people with intellectual disabilities have a chance to be accepted and respected in their communities. Thank you all, from the bottom of my, soon to be, chilly heart.
