Paducah Truck Pull FAQ

What is a Truck Pull?

The Pull is an event where teams of 15 go up against a loaded UPS 18-wheeler to see who can pull it 12 feet in the least amount of time.  While it is a competition, and bragging rights are won, the day is filled with fun, community and support for Special Olympics McCracken Co. athletes.

How much does it cost to participate?

New this year! The minimum amount to raise or donate is $1,000 per team.

When and where is the Pull?

NEW LOCATION! The Pull will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, Four Rivers Harley-Davidson (3005 Old Husbands Rd, Paducah, KY 42003)

Who does the Pull benefit?

All donations raised will benefit McCracken County Special Olympics and Special Olympics Kentucky. Funds raised will be used to provide year-round sports training and competition in 15 different sports, as well as comprehensive health screening programs for more than 11,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities statewide.

How do I sign up?

Visit PaducahTruckPull.com and select register now and follow instructions on how to get your team or yourself registered. We are always available to help, just give us a call; 502-326-5002.

Who can participate?

Anyone 8 years old and up and that is in good physical health. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian allowing them to participate.

How many people can be on a team?

A team consists of 15 members. More than 15 members can be on a team, however, only 15 can participate in the Pull. Teams can compete with less than 15 team members if they choose.

How does Check-in work?

Team Captains will pick up their teams t-shirts and wristbands at check-in from 2:00-3:00pm on September 20th.

Our goals is to recognize your support and provide a keepsake. Shirts and sizes cannot be guaranteed to participants.

The supply chains in place require final orders approximately one-month in advance of the event. To conserve funds raised to support Special Olympics Kentucky athletes, we order shirts and sized based on projected attendance at that time. We are grateful for all participants. For a nonprofit, it is advisable to be conservative and avoid excess inventory of shirts following the event.

What do I wear?

Closed toes shoes are mandatory, you will not be allowed to pull in flip flops. You must bring your own gloves, we recommend gardening gloves.

Can I bring guest with me to the Pull?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your friends and family to cheer you on! The Family Fun Zone opens at 2:00pm. We cannot allow any pets there, except for service animals, for safety purposes.

What if my friend and family give me cash or checks instead of donating online?

No problem. You can mail them to our office (105 Lakeview Court, Frankfort, KY 40601) at least one week prior to the event or you can bring them with you to the event and turn it in when registering. We will add it to your online fundraising totals. Please make checks payable to Special Olympics Kentucky, and be sure to note on the check who the donation is going to so we can credit you/your team!
