"There is no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as more" Robert Hensel.
Anyone who know me knows I am a giver. I give my time, my talent, and my treasure sometimes too freely. I seldom ask for anything in return. But when I do, my ask is not for me. My ask is that those around me would "pay it forward" The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:7 "for God loves a cheerful giver". Again, Christ told his disciples in Matthew 10:8 when he commissioned them to do His work "freely you have received, freely give"
Today is the day I am asking for something in return. I am asking you to make a tax-deductible donation/contribution in a sponsorship of myself and my brother Knights of Columbus at Christ the King. I am asking you to support our efforts to raise money on behalf of Kentucky Special Olympics. The money raised by SOKY will be applied toward the athletes and their families for the purpose of training and competition.
On August 20th, volunteered teams will compete to see who can pull a very heavy truck, the farthest distance, in the shortest amount of time. For most of us broken down older guys it will be a challenge. But it pales in comparison to the challenges these kids and their families face daily. I want nothing more than to do my part in bringing smiles and excitement to their face and in their lives. I am asking you to join me.
No donation is too small. All donations are appreciated. Please consider hitting the donate button. If at this time you cannot donate, you can pray for this event and all involved. Thank you.
