Make a Splash for Special Olympics Kentucky

The Murray State Campus Polar Plunge is one of the most unique fundraisers on campus. Raise a BEAR minimum of $50 and celebrate your fundraising success by taking a chilly ride down the inflatable slide into an icy pool—all while helping create opportunities for Special Olympics Kentucky athletes.

Whether you participate on your own or with friends, you'll enjoy a fun atmosphere, friendly competition, costumes, prizes, and the chance to make a real impact.

• 📍 Location: The Quad at Pogue Library
• 👥 Who Can Participate?
• This event is open exclusively to Murray State University students, faculty, and staff.
• 💲Minimum Fundraising Requirement
• Raise at least $50 to earn your official event T-shirt and take the Plunge.

Dress up and have fun! Individuals and teams are encouraged to wear creative costumes.

• Top Independent Group
• Top Residential College Group
• Top Academic/Faculty & Staff Group
• Top Individual Fundraiser
• Spirit Award (Best Costume & Overall Team Spirit) 

Event Schedule

• 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Registration
• Turn in offline donations
• Pick up your event T-shirt
• Receive your wristband
• 6:00 PM: Opening Ceremonies & Awards
• 6:30 PM: Polar Plunge Begins!
